On test vehicles the greater cooling efficiency consistantly gave an increase of 10 bhp on a standard engine with greater benefits on tuned vehicles depending on the remapping software used. The intercooler is of a open core design so as not to restrict airflow to the engine cooling system. Forge have also ducted the intercooler to maximise the through flow which aids both the intercooler and the coolant radiator.
